This is probably the most typical question for Pioneer plx-1000 all newcomer disc jockeys and referred to as a D.J. for short. The first thing to do would be to do a little research. Which type of D.J. would you wish to be? There are various sorts of D.J.'s because they D.J. in various ways. The 3 major types of D.J.'s are:

Mobile D.J./ Mobile Entertainer
Club D.J.
Fight D.J.
Mobile D. J.

They take their equipment on the road and Alto Speakers do gigs at Universities, private parties, special occasions and so on. They use almost all types of disc jockey equipment such as karaoke equipment.

Mobile D.J.'s are entertainers also.

They get the audience involved with playing games with all the music, singing, playing music along with other celebration favorites which involve entertaining the crowd.

Mobile D.J.'s generally have a disc jockey PA system they bring with them to the gig.

This allows the disc jockey to broadcast the audio being played. A PA system consists of an amplifier and two speakers.

Club D. J.

It's the Club disc jockeys ability to perform various types of music and make it sound great that makes them stand out. That's why they get paid the big bucks.

To most it is not a mystery why the club disc jockey is the very sought after D.J.. Among my favorite club disc jockeys that cross all categories of disc jockeying is D.J. Cash Money out of Philadelphia, PA.. He has some of the fastest hands on the faders and turntables that I have ever seen.

For their songs most club disc jockeys utilize Technics SL-1200/1210 Turntables. Now you can locate bar D.J.'s using Final Scratch by Stanton or Serato Scratch Live by Rane. Club D.J.'s"play with the crowd" meaning that they have developed the ability to read the audience and know what tunes to play based on crowd response.

This takes time to develop but once you've mastered this measure it allows you to explore new tunes in the club which you may not otherwise play due to inexperience. This is a superb way to create a livelihood if you are able to find a home in a number of clubs.

Fight D.J. or Turntablists

They're a particular group of highly skilled disc jockeys which do tricks using the turntables and mixer. Through the years of practice they've been able to develop their abilities of scratching, blending and most importantly beat juggling.

Beat juggling is when a D.J. is able to manipulate two records to the point where it sounds like he's producing a new defeat from two different ones. Since these skills are highly improved most battle D.J.'s can be a club D.J. or a mobile D.J. because the abilities cross all types of disc jockeying.
